Meet the team
1 Peter 10 says "Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received. " At St Katharine's, we are blessed with an amazing team of people who offer their gifts to serve God and to serve Matson
Sarah - Priest in Charge
I'm the Revd Sarah Todd and it is my privilege to be
Priest in Charge here at St Katharine's Matson.
I am also Vicar of St Barnabas on the Stroud Road.
I am part of a wonderful leadership team here at St Katharine's
including our churchwarden Pam,
and the PCC, who are trustees of the church.
St Katharine's is part of Gloucester City Deanery, and worship and ministry here is also supported by a Deanery team headed up by myself. We are also delighted to be partnering with Andy Wilson from the Church Army here in Matson as Andy explores new ways of being church leading the Share Matson Community.
So a bit about me. I am married to Ian and have four children and a small dog. Before ordination in 2016, I was a musician and then trained for ministry at the Queens Foundation for Ecumenical Theological Education in Birmingham. I am especially interested in exploring ways that all ages can be church together 7 days of the week and helping others, especially young people explore God’s plan for their lives. I also love digital ministry, film making, writing songs and sharing stories.
I enjoy long walks, playing the piano, singing, researching family and local history, coffee with friends and exploring new places and ideas! I am also a huge Gloucester Rugby Fan and am saving up for a season ticket!
Pam - Church Warden
Pam is not only the Church Warden of 18 years (and she's been here for 45 years, I know, she doesn't look it!) She is the church, right down to Project 'Loo'! Yes the addition to St Katharine's in 2014 was all Pam, after years of raising funds to get you a loo. Next project - the roof... Go Pam you still have another 20 years in the job!
Pam lives with her feisty little Jack Russell Misty who you're bound to see in some church photos, she is part of the flower arranging team, always ensuring St Kath's looks at it prettiest.
Contact Pam on 01452 304892 or at firstname.lastname@example.org for all issues to do with the Church and graveyard maintenance.
The Deanery Ministry Team
Various ministers from churches in the city support Sunday morning worship at St Katharine's. We love the diversity and difference that each person brings.
St Katharine's PCC
The Parochial Church Council is a trustee board made up of members of the church. Together with the Priest in Charge and the churchwarden, they are responsible for the overall wellbeing, practical as well as spiritual, of their church, the church members, and the church buildings. The PCC also has a duty to promote the mission of the church within the wider community.
